Transparency over silence. When the filter hides results, it says so
and offers one tap to reveal. A filter that silently disappears music creates a
second trust problem while solving the first.
3 AI-generated tracks hiddenShow
AI-assisted stays visible. "Coast" used AI mastering and carries a
credit, not a filter. Most working musicians touch AI somewhere in production; filtering
them would bury real artists. The toggle keys on fully AI-generated content only —
the same two-tier line (AI Generated vs AI Assisted) proposed by RIAA/IFPI in July 2026.
Phase 2: the targeted prompt. The A/B test showed the effect is
real but off-by-default dilutes it (8.7% adoption) while on-by-default spends goodwill.
Third option: watch behaviour. Skip AI-tagged tracks repeatedly and the product offers
the filter to exactly the users who want it. Try it: keep tapping skip.

Skipping AI-generated music?
You've skipped 3 AI-generated tracks today. Want to hide
fully AI-generated music from your radio and recommendations? You can change this
anytime in Settings.
Why 3 skips, why once. One skip is noise, three is a pattern.
The prompt fires once, ever: a nagging prompt would burn the trust the filter is
meant to build. Declining is remembered and respected. The phase 2 experiment: does
prompt-triggered adoption beat arm B's organic 8.7%?

Hide fully AI-generated music
Removes music that is entirely AI-generated, and tracks from
AI Persona artists, from your listening surfaces. You can reveal hidden
results at any time.
Filter, don't block. Tidal's toggle makes AI tracks unplayable,
which breaks shared playlists and external links. Hiding from discovery achieves the
goal with less collateral damage. A followed AI Persona or a direct link still plays.

AI-assisted music
Always visible. Artists who use AI tools in parts of their
process (mastering, stems, production) are labeled via AI Credits, not filtered.
The default is the real product decision. This prototype ships
off-by-default (variant B). The A/B worth running is on-by-default (variant C): it tests
whether retention gains outweigh catalogue economics when the platform, not the user,
makes the first move. Deezer/Ipsos: 45% of streaming users say they want this filter.
